InFusion Community Grants
From film festivals to COVID-19 relief efforts and storytelling workshops, InFusion Community Grants capacity builds for leaders healing their neighborhoods in ways that are authentic to them!
Through InFusion Community Grants, we are able to provide support, funding, and fiscal sponsorship for resident-driven, approved, and led projects in East Baltimore neighborhoods. Fusion Partnerships receives funding to facilitate this community-led small grants program in the East Baltimore neighborhoods of C.A.R.E, McElderry Park, and Middle East.
How to Apply for an InFusion Community Grant
Do you have a community project that needs assistance with capacity building, financial management, and data collection? If so, you can apply for our $500 to $2,500 community grants!
The InFusion Community Grants Program awards grants to neighborhood-based groups that fit the following criteria:
- Limited to initiatives and projects held within the C.A.R.E., McElderry Park, and Middle East communities.
- Projects must be neighborhood specific. Groups must be residents conducting their project in the same neighborhood. Organizations and residents from neighboring areas may join the efforts as support for proposed projects, but not as project leaders.
- Only one grant (maximum of $2500) will be awarded to one project during a one year period for groups.
- All projects must be free and open to your neighbors. Charging a fee for programming may disqualify your application.
- The Small Grants Committee (SGC) will review applications for programs that charge a fee on a case-by-case basis.
- All proposed projects must be planned and led by a group of at least three unrelated (non-family) residents of the community.
- Every youth team member that’s listed must be paired with an adult team member to ensure that they receive the adequate support to complete the project.
- Projects must make use of the strengths and assets that already exist in the community.
- Strengths may include the commitment of neighbors, thriving networks, and strategies already in place.
- Assets are institutions, organizations, and people whose resources, gifts, and talents are used to make the project successful.
- Applicants are encouraged to think creatively about neighborhood assets and how they can be used to accomplish projects.
- For example, vacant land is an “asset” that can serve as a garden space or park.
- Grant applications should include letters of support from community partners whose cooperation or involvement is necessary for the project’s success. The letters should indicate their commitment to contribute in specific ways to the project.
- Fusion Partnerships will serve as the project’s sole 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor.
